This is the first hair salon I went to more then once, and I will continue going as long as I live in Austin! Kalea is a fantastic hairdresser and super friendly person. I've never been happier with my haircut. What I love about her is that she also understands different preferences of customers and is ready to accommodate a natural no-poo user as well as fancy high-end products enthusiasts ;)

I went for my first time to Kalour Studios this weekend, and it was perfect! My previous hair place literally fried my hair, so needless to say I was very scared to let anyone color my roots for fear my hair would just fall out. Kate was awesome! She was so delicate with the process and explained everything to me so I wouldn't stress about it. By the time I was done I got so many compliments even a few "your hair looks like Marilyn Monroe's!" Def. recommended Kate to my friends!

Curly Haircuts
It had never really occurred to me that there were places that specialized in cutting curly hair (although I'm sure they could cut any hair and do an amazing job) before I heard about Kalour from another curly-haired friend. Kalea did an amazing job and taught me a lot about how to take better care of my hair and what products to use that are specifically designed for it. The studio is also adorable. Definitely going back as soon as I need another cut!

I started seeing Kalea after years of going to SuperCuts and confessed where I'd been going to get my hair cut... and asked her to help me define a style would work best for me - including my lifestyle. She listened to my limitations and the took me at face value who I said "I certainly don't know what would look best so I leave it up to you." As a guy who really doesn't have a clue what would work well for me, it was a relief to finally find a stylist I can trust to make me look great.

I had long hair and Kalea chopped it all off. I couldn't be happier with the results. She also totally nailed my balayage highlights; they look great. She really took her time to make sure everything about my cut and color was perfect. You can tell she enjoys her work, too, which is always nice!

When it comes to hair, I'm difficult. I am extremely attached & struggle constantly to find someone who actually listens to what I want done. I was long overdue for a cut, & was extremely weary about getting anything done in Austin. I absolutely loved Kalour! Kalea was wonderful - more than willing to cut my hair fabulously so my confidence in it would be revived, & also gave me plenty of tips & tricks to make my hair shine and bounce with all it's potential. You can believe all the reviews you found! This salon is very nice and comfy, Kalea is a professional who cares and listens, she is amazing at what she does plus is easy to talk to. What I was amazed by is that she knows about the "no-poo" method and even uses products that are based on this idea. I got a beautiful haircut and will go back again and again! I've never went to the same salon twice before... My search for hairstylist is over!

I am new to Austin and spent some time online looking for a new hair salon. I stopped in to check out Kalour Hair Studios and instantly had a great feeling about it. Kalea was able to get me in the next day (lucky me) for a haircut and some new balayage highlights. Kalea is very knowledgeable and somebody that you can trust. I learned so much about my hair and how to take care of it. The best part is for the first time ever I left the Salon feeling like I could re-create what Kalea did to my hair on my own. I have never liked my hair, as it is very curly and hard to deal with. I've tried countless hairstylists in the last 13 years that just never quite got it right. A friend referred me to Kalea's old salon, Shine Salon, and she had stellar Yelp reviews so I booked her. The color was spot on and the haircut was EXACTLY what I wanted. BEST bang cut I've ever gotten and I was hooked after that.
