Hair Washing Care

  • Use the recommended aftercare products from Kalour Studios to maximize potential wear and protect attachment site.

  • Gently brush through your hair to remove tangles.

  • Lather roots gently, don't use a rough scrubbing motion

  • When rinsing, tilt your head slightly back and let the water fall through the length, this prevents knotting.

  • Finish by applying a hair mask or conditioner from the mid shaft to ends after every wash.

  • For Keratin Bond Fusions wait at least 48 hours after install to shampoo

 
Hair Drying

Drying your hair

  • Gently de-tangle your hair before drying, following the brushing recommendations.

  • Towel dry your hair with a soft pressure, but never with a rubbing motion. Instead, use a blotting motion and wrap your hair in a towel to remove excess water.

  • Always dry your wefts thoroughly, do not let them dry naturally as hair is at its most vulnerable when wet. Blow dry on a low heat, starting at the roots and working downwards with the recommended brush provided to you.

  • Remember that styling products should only be applied to the lengths and ends of your hair and never to the attachment point of your hair extensions.

  • Always use a hair extension brush which are specifically designed to protect the hair extensions

    Metal Bristle (untangle)

    Boar Bristle (softening & shine)

  • Using a Boar Bristle Paddle Brush, sweep all hair to one side, holding hair in place at the nape of the neck, brush through the length

  • Remember not to be too rough when brushing your hair as this may damage the attachment site

  • When backcombing, take care to only do so above the weft to prevent knotting.

Sleeping

The goal is to avoid tangles. Sleep with silk!

  • Brush, Hold the weft at the attachment while brushing through the ends. Start at the ends and slowly move up to gentle remove all tangles. (Pro tip: detangle with the metal bristle brush then add a drop of serum and brush again with the boar bristle)

  • Braid your hair. (if sleeping on a braid is uncomfortable try splitting it into pigtails and braiding those)

  • Silk! Use either a silk bonnet or a silk pillow case

  • I also like to use silk hair ties

  • Final Step.. Get your Beauty Sleep!
